Atlanta Habitat for Humanity - notes of interest for our landscape efforts City of Atlanta requires the installation of a rain garden. It should be bean-like in shape, perpendicular to the flow of water, approximately 130 sq. ft. (suggest 10 ft. x 13 ft.), filled with liriope, day lilies, Southern shield ferns, or flag irises, mulched with pine straw, and contain small stones collected from the property. It should not be an elaborately constructed feature. The following CFMGs are willing to make available extra plant from their gardens: Ruth Mansfield, Cece Maxwell, Carolyn Christ, and Marianne Scharbo-DeHaan To Master Gardener team leads: please ensure that you adjust your schedules to contact the above provider(s) and dig up the appropriate quantity of plant material for your installation.
